FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about how LWHS coordinates workforce housing across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. Don't see your question? Call or email us — we're happy to talk through your project.
What areas does LWHS serve?
LWHS is based in Baton Rouge and coordinates workforce housing for projects across Louisiana. We also provide support for projects throughout the Gulf Coast region, and we are continuing to expand our property-partner network there.
What types of housing can you arrange?
We coordinate hotels, extended-stay properties, furnished apartments, furnished homes, corporate housing, and RV parks. The right mix depends on your project’s location, schedule, workforce size, budget, and preferences.
What size projects do you work with?
From a handful of traveling technicians to large turnaround crews, we tailor housing plans to the size of your workforce. Tell us how many workers or rooms you need and we will build options around it.
How much advance notice do you need?
The more notice we have, the more options we can evaluate and negotiate. That said, many workforce housing needs come up quickly — contact us as soon as you know your location and approximate dates, and we will work with your timeline.
Can you handle urgent or last-minute requests?
Yes. Project mobilizations, turnarounds, outages, and disaster-response deployments often require housing on compressed timelines. Call us directly for urgent needs so we can start sourcing immediately.
What if our crew size changes during the project?
Crew sizes change all the time. We handle room additions, releases, and property changes as your workforce grows or shrinks, so your housing stays aligned with the project.
Can stays be extended if the project schedule shifts?
Yes. Extensions are a normal part of workforce housing. We coordinate stay extensions and adjusted terms with the property so your crew is not displaced when schedules move.
Is direct or corporate billing available?
In many cases, yes. Billing arrangements vary by property and project, so let us know your billing requirements when you submit a request and we will coordinate options that fit your process.
How do properties join the LWHS partner network?
Hotels, extended-stay properties, apartment communities, furnished-housing providers, property managers, and RV parks can apply through our Property Partner form. We review your property details and follow up about workforce-housing opportunities in your area.
What information do you need to get started?
Project location or preferred city, expected check-in and check-out dates, number of workers or rooms, budget range if known, and any requirements such as kitchens, laundry, Wi-Fi, truck or trailer parking, ADA access, or security. Our Request Workforce Housing form covers everything.
Does submitting the request form guarantee availability?
No. Submitting the form is an inquiry, not a contract or a reservation. Once we receive your details, we review your requirements, source options, and present a housing proposal for your approval.
Does LWHS own the housing properties?
No. LWHS is a workforce housing coordination and management company. We source, negotiate, and coordinate accommodations with independent hotels, property owners, and operators on behalf of employers and their crews.
